Incorporated on January 1, 2023, the Community of Three Rivers (the “Municipality”) unites Petitcodiac, Elgin, and surrounding rural areas into a vibrant region in scenic Westmorland County. Residents enjoy a peaceful rural lifestyle with amenities such as a regional K–12 school, golf course, arena, outdoor pool and a state-of-the-art medical Centre opening in 2027. Lead the Community of Three Rivers as our Chief Administrative Officer (“CAO”), where your vision and expertise will shape the future of our thriving Municipality into an exciting chapter of growth and community development. The OpportunityYou will guide the strategic direction and daily operations of a community committed to growth, innovation, and high-quality service delivery by shaping foundational policies and projects that directly impact residents’ quality of life, from infrastructure, health care and community resources. In addition, you will oversee the Public Works, Arena, and Recreation Departments, ensuring the effective management, maintenance, and improvement of municipal infrastructure and services that are essential to the well-being of the community. You will empower and inspire a dedicated municipal team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement, while building strong relationships with Council, government partners, and local organizations, while representing the municipality with professionalism, integrity, and authenticity. You will champion economic development and community engagement to ensure the Community of Three Rivers remains a welcoming, resilient, and family-friendly place to live and work. You think beyond the status quo and make confident, well-informed decisions that support long-term community and economic development. Deeply community-minded, you show up, engage with residents, and build trust through integrity and transparency. You lead with a steady hand, supporting and motivating a small municipal team while remaining organized, reliable, and willing to roll up your sleeves when needed. Well-versed in governance and experienced in collaborating with government officials, you possess exceptional communication skills, political and financial acumen, and a talent for building partnerships across diverse stakeholders. Energetic, relationship-focused, and solutions-oriented, you bring the presence and professionalism needed to move the community forward while representing the Municipality with the Southeast Regional Service Commission, partners, businesses, and government officials. Qualifications• Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, public administration or related field of study; or equivalent education and experience.• 5 years’ management experience within a progressive and growing environment.• 10 years’ experience working in a municipal services setting is preferable.
