Council Meetings
The Community of Three Rivers Meets twice each month. You're invited to attend! Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm and are located at 63 Main Street Petitcodiac. For the months of June, July and August meetings may only be held once a month.
The next regular meeting of Council for the Community of Three Rivers is scheduled for
January 21, 2026 at 6:30 pm at the Community Office, 63 Main Street , Petitcodiac .
Regular meetings of Council are on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month, beginning at six thirty in the evening (6:30 pm) unless otherwise determined by Council. In the event that the day fixed for a regular meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting shall be held on a day decided by Council and such decision shall be made not later than the preceding meeting. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Council may hold only one Regular (Public) Meeting during each of the months of June, July and August. If there are changes to the date and time of a regular meeting, the municipality must give at least twenty-four (24) hours notice of the change to Members and the public.
*regular council meetings may be rescheduled due to scheduling conflicts or Holidays. If a meeting is to be rescheduled, the public will receive 24 hours advance notice here on the municipal website.
Special Meetings: Council may also hold Special Meetings to consider matters that require immediate attention and/or a decision.
In Camera Meetings/ Sessions: With reference to subsectioin 68 (1), (2) and (3) of the Local Governance Act, meetings may go "In Camera" to deal with confidential matters such as legal, human resources, property related or third party agreements. This can be done at a Regular or Special Meeting of Council. In Camera sessions are not open to the public however all matters requiring a decision of Council must be made by going to a "Regular Session" of Council.
