Student Position The Community of Three Rivers

Job Title: Recreation Department Student Worker (Summer Position)Location: The Community of Three RiversTerm: Summer 2026Hours: 32 hours per weekWage: $16.00 per hour________________________________________Position SummaryThe Recreation Department Student Worker supports the maintenance and upkeep of municipal recreational facilities and public spaces. This role is ideal for a motivated student who enjoys working outdoors, contributing to the community, and maintaining safe and welcoming environments for residents and visitors.________________________________________Key Responsibilities• Perform general maintenance and upkeep of recreational facilities, including: o Baseball fields, Soccer fields, Athletic courts, Arena facilities, Play Structures• Assist with the care and maintenance of downtown flower beds, including watering, weeding, and planting • Conduct Park maintenance duties such as landscaping, trail upkeep, general maintenance, etc.• Operate basic landscaping and maintenance equipment safely (training provided as needed) • Report maintenance issues, hazards, or repairs to supervisors • Support special events or recreational programming when required • Follow all health and safety guidelines and procedures ________________________________________
Qualifications• Must be a student returning to school in the fall • Ability to perform physical outdoor work in various weather conditions • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Previous experience in landscaping, maintenance, or recreation is considered an asset but not required ________________________________________Working Conditions• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions • Physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods • Some evening and weekend work may be required• All other duties as assigned
