The Community of Three Rivers Secures New Home for Local Library

The Community of Three Rivers has taken ownership of the former Scotiabank Building located at 50 Main Street, Petitcodiac, laying the foundation for the reopening of the local library. This announcement comes after Scotiabank has generously donated its former location in Petitcodiac to the municipality, providing a dedicated space for this vital community resource.Acknowledging the importance of collaboration, the municipality will work alongside the New Brunswick Public Library Service, GNB and the local library board. Together, work will commence to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive strategy moving forward. The forthcoming collaboration in this transformative journey, demonstrates that the path to revitalizing a cherished institution is paved with careful consideration and community engagement. Mayor and Council extend their sincere thanks to Scotiabank for the generous donation of their former Petitcodiac location. This important contribution will play a key role in reestablishing essential library services in our community, benefiting residents for generations to come.

To the organizers and volunteers who dedicated countless hours of hard work, planning, and passion—your efforts were truly appreciated. Without your commitment and enthusiasm, none of this would have been possible.
To everyone who came out to celebrate with us, thank you for your presence and energy. Your support made this milestone even more special, and we are so grateful to have shared this moment with you. Together, we made history, and together, we’ve laid the groundwork for the next 50 years of memories and milestones.
